Allan Bo Quintet can not offer Stan Getz, Count Basie and Ray Charles live on stage,  but if you appreciate the music they represent you will not find yourself going in vain to a concert with the band.

ABQ's concerts are aimed at a jazz audience, and ensure a balanced mix of precision and lifeblood in the music. The core of the repertoire being Swing and Blues, we still make room for Bop and ballads – and as Ray Charles put it: Genre doesn’t matter, it's a question of how the music is played.

The band combines a respect of swing and bebop with a contemporary jazz expression. As the musicians in ABQ are among the best in the genre, each band member is given plenty of space for personal expression as soloists on stage.

Allan Bo emphasizes the contact with the audience. Partly by choice of repertoire, and partly by using his radio experience to spice up concerts with comments about the music and with short jazz anecdotes.
